Canaan Township Voters in the 1st Consolidated Fire District and River Valley School District received notice from the Morrow County Board of Elections that they will be voting at a different precinct for the May 2, 2023 Special Election. Any Canaan Township resident residing in those two districts should read the following letter for more details.
Dear Voter:
This letter is to advise you that for the May 2, 2023, Special Election, you will be voting at a different precinct. Due to the small number of voters in River Valley School District and 1st Consolidated First District within Canaan Township, the cost would be more efficient to have you vote one fo the following ways:
An absentee application can be obtained and you can choose to vote at home. The completed absentee application is to be returned to the Morrow County Board of Elections. The ballot will be mailed to the requestor for voting. The deadline to request a ballot is April 25, 2023.
Early voting starts on April 4th and you can early vote in person at the Marion County Board of Elections at 222 W. Center Street, Marion.
Office hours are:
Tuesday April 4 - Friday April 21 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m
Monday April 24 - 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Tuesday April 25 - 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Wednesday - Friday April 26 - April 28 - 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Saturday April 29 - 8 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Sunday April 30 - 1 p.m. - 5 p.m.
3. Vote on Election day, May 2, 203, between the hours of 6:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. at the
Dayspring Wesleyan Church, 2431 Marion-Mt. Gilead Road (State Route 95), Marion.
