2026 Elected Township Officers
January 2026 The Canaan Township Board of Trustees recently elected officers for 2026. Chairman is Tyler Levering. Vice-Chairman is John Bayles. Matthew Carwell is the third trustee. John Bayles will be the representative for 1st Consolidated Fire District. Matthew Carwell will be the representative for Regional Planning. Canaan Township 2025 Year End Review
Throughout the year, Canaan Township Trustees focused on responsible fiscal management, public safety, infrastructure improvements, and community partnerships. In January, the Trustees accepted the amounts and rates as determined by the Morrow County Budget Commission, authorizing the necessary tax levies and certifying them to the County Auditor. This ensured proper funding levels were in place to support township operations and services. February brought a triennial review
